This weeks guest has an amazing & inspirational story to tell. He is a very popular DJ at the nightclub Ziggys in Brunswick, Georgia by the name of D-REK. My guest is also an AIDS activist, most recently he created the #EndTheStigma campaign & became a social ambassador for the public health campaign @YesGTCV. He aims to help & educate others on the AIDS virus through sharing his own personal experiences. At the age of three months old Derek Canas had to have his first pacemaker fitted due to being born with a rare heart defect. He was then diagnosed with AIDS at the age of sixteen after receiving bad blood from a donor in 1985. Derek lived unknowingly with this deadly disease for sixteen years.
